Twin Terraces is a residential development that consolidates two existing heritage terraces and carefully inserts modest interventions to the rear.
The new living pavilions are imagined as monolithic forms with careful incisions made in its brick and concrete skin to frame views and draw light.
Introverted and modest in scale, the pavilions look inward and into the lush garden forming in the space between the old and new.
The material palette - comprised of handmade clay bricks and off-form concrete - pays homage to the prevalent materials and textures of its context.
The project received development approval by City of Sydney in 2021.
